The VTCT Level 2 Award in Wax Depilation is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to remove hair using waxing techniques.

Entry requirements

English and maths qualification at grade 4 grade C or functional skills level 2

Course content

This course will cover the skills and knowledge relating to the following: health & safety, client care and communication, diseases and disorders, client consultation techniques, relevant anatomy & physiology, removal of hair using appropriate wax.

How will you be assessed?

Internally assessed and externally quality assured. You will be required to compile a Portfolio of Evidence including written assignments, written assessments and practical observations.

Equipment Required?

Yes, you will need to purchase a kit with specialised equipment, products and a professional tunic will be required to meet Industry standards.

Please note:  Students will be required to work on each other to practice treatment. If students do not want to receive treatments, they must bring in a model.
