Course Content

A course intended for anyone with an interest in the creative media industry, particularly in Games, Animation and Visual Effects. The work that makes up the course is mostly practical, with some theoretical and critical analysis and the planning and production of 2D/3D animations and games using industry standard processes and software.

Students will learn the fundamentals of 2D animation and 2D game design in the first year, with team-based assignments challenging them to produce original animated shorts and 2D games prototypes. The second year has students move on to 3D, where they study 3D modelling and animation before learning to code 3D games using UNITY. Both years will finish with a Final Major Project; a chance for every student to choose and create their own original project, making use of everything they have learnt.
