Course Content
The ESOL for Life, Work and Study is for adults, aiming to improve and develop their study skills but also the skills that will make you ready for employment.
We will look at all the stages of getting that perfect job or the job you just need as a stepping stone to your dream job.
This course is suitable for students who may not have any work experience or for those with some work experience in the UK or in other countries.
Students will study the main language skills of:
• Reading
• Writing
• Speaking
• Listening
The course will cover a wide variety of topics and will focus on building up an attractive CV and writing distinctive job application letters, developing skills required by employers, focusing on formal language and confident presentations. Finally, you will take part in mock job interviews that will get you ready for employment.
Course Outcomes
- Get on a part time course in January or March
- Get part time or full -time employment.
- Talk to teachers, employers and officials and understand the customs of the UK
Entry Requirements
• Be a resident in the UK
• Be assessed at interview
Interveiw
Before you can enrol on an ESOL course you need to attend an assessment to determine your level. Your level of English will be determined by your previous qualifications in ESOL, as well as a reading and writing assessment and an interview.
