Students Prepare for Bali 2027 International Work Placement

Selected students will develop their employability skills, build confidence and gain a broader understanding of different cultures and working environments.

Our students will have the opportunity to take part in a two-week international work placement in Bali from 3 to 17 February 2027 as part of the Turing Programme. The experience will give selected Level 3 students the chance to apply their skills in a different working environment while developing their confidence, independence and understanding of Balinese culture.

Students studying Health & Social Care, Engineering, Construction, Art & Media and Applied Science will be eligible to apply.

During the placement, students will develop valuable skills including communication, teamwork, professionalism, adaptability and problem-solving. They will also have the opportunity to experience Balinese culture and develop a wider understanding of different communities and working environments.

The programme complements students’ studies while helping them prepare for their next steps in further education, employment and their chosen careers. Working and learning in a new environment can also help students develop greater independence and confidence.

Applications are now open, with students taking part in a selection process that considers factors including attendance, behaviour, academic progress, motivation and interview performance.

The Turing Programme is part of Stanmore College’s commitment to providing students with opportunities to extend their learning beyond the classroom, develop practical skills and gain experiences that can support their future goals.
