Turning Ambition Into Action
Empowering Students through Career insight and Work Experience Opportunities
We were delighted to host The Elms Group for an engaging careers and placement talk. They spoke with our sports students about exciting opportunities and the pathways these can open for their future careers.
Kyle Head, Operations Manager and Tommy Gilland, School Manager of The Elms Group, delivered an inspiring session outlining the organisation’s aim to offer placements and part-time paid roles to students in the upcoming summer term. Their presentation gave learners a valuable insight into the realities of working in the sports industry and the steps involved in building a rewarding career.
The session highlighted the importance of work experience towards strengthening applications for UCAS, apprenticeships, and future employment. Students learned how hands-on experience can set them apart, deepen their understanding of the sector, and help them clearly articulate their skills and ambitions.
Our Work Placement Coordinator, Ruhina Mehdi, was on hand to support students with improving their CVs, answering any questions they had about preparing for placements. Her guidance helped students feel more confident and ready to take the next steps toward their goals.
Opportunities like this empower students to turn ambition into action, showing that with the right mindset, experience, and support, their goals are within reach.
