Lighting Up Learning: ITC Students Celebrate Diwali with Coding Projects

In an innovative integration of cultural awareness and technical skill, ITC students undertook a web development project titled “My Diwali Celebration Page.” throughout the week of Diwali.

The assignment required students to design a single-page website using HTML to explore and represent the traditions, symbolism, and cultural significance of Diwali, the Festival of Lights.

The project enabled students to apply their developing web design skills while exploring the cultural and symbolic meaning of Diwali. Each webpage featured:

  • Headings and subheadings to structure their content.
  • Paragraphs explaining the significance of Diwali.
  • Lists of traditions such as lighting diyas, sharing sweets, fireworks, and family gatherings.
  • Images that captured the spirit of the festival.
  • Links to videos and articles offering deeper insight into Diwali celebrations.

This project increased their understanding of HTML and CSS fundamentals. By combining technical skills with personal expression, learners were able to create meaningful content that combines cultural heritage and growing proficiency in web design.

We are proud of the skill and creativity our students brought to this project. Their work has lit up our digital halls!
