The Uniformed Public Services Entry NCFE Diploma Level 2 qualification is designed to provide you an in-depth understanding of the principles of the uniformed services and the various avenues of work within the sector. The course will help you understand the demands of the industries and the requirements needed to join this sector.
This course is for you if you are interested in the Army, Navy, RAF, Police, Fire and Prison Services. It is introductory preparation for entry to all 6 of these professions. The course focuses on the study of the uniformed services within the public services sector, offering breadth and depth of study, plus some practical and technical work-related skills.
You will develop the following core knowledge:
Understanding of the uniformed public services sector.
Opportunity to investigate career opportunities in the uniformed services.
Investigate volunteering roles and the transferable workplace skills.
Ability to prepare for a recruitment interview.
Understanding the personal commitment and fitness requirements needed to be employed in a uniformed service role.
Understanding of the importance of health and hygiene for those in uniformed service roles.
Overview of the external organisations that impact and influence the work of the uniformed services.
Insight into the skills and qualities needed, such as: teamwork, communication, problem solving, navigation, and drill.
Upon completion of this course you will have developed a strong set of transferable skills. You can progress to further study programmes. This qualification is also suitable if you have want to join any sub-specialisms of these professions where you can get specific training for that specialism.
