Course outline
If you are a Level 2 Early Years student who is keen to progress onto a T-Level in Childcare and Education, then this T-Level Foundation Programme is for you. It will help develop your skills, knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from 0-5, as well as improving your teamwork and communication.
T Levels are brand new courses, which are developed in collaboration with employers and businesses. This ensures that the content meets the needs of industry and fully prepares you for work.
Entry requirements
You will need 4 GCSEs at grade 3/D including English and Maths, or successful completion of Level 1. A DBS check will also be needed prior to any placement offer.
In addition, you will need to be working, volunteering or on practical placement, to demonstrate your interest and competence in this area.
What can it lead to?
This qualification allows progression onto the T-Level in Education and Childcare. It will also prepare you for other relevant early years courses and provide a pathway to employment in the early years and childcare sector.
Work experience and employability
You will complete around 150 hours on a work placement while undertaking this course. This will be carried out one day per week alongside your college studies, giving you the hands-on experience needed to meet the assessment criteria for the qualification.
