T Level Results Day!
It’s a positive day for our T level students who have passed with Distinctions and Merits. They arrived eager for their results, and excited for the next steps for University, Apprenticeship and Scholarship.
We asked them what they most valued about having done T Levels and here’s what they revealed:
Bradley – T Level Business Management & Administration
Bradley worked for six months with a solicitor and learned about property law and work culture. It taught him about important work habits, routines, and being professional at work. Bradley is headed to University to study further Business focused on Supply Chain Management. He chose Stanmore because we offered T Levels, as he knew A Levels were not the path for him. He liked the structure of the programme and was impressed with the connections the College has with Employers for work placements. In his words, he said "Make the most of the opportunities you’re given, and Stanmore College gave me a lot of opportunity".
Sherelene – T Level Early Years
Sherelene said she benefitted especially from work experience because she could apply what she learned in class to the workplace. She has secured an apprenticeship in a nursery and is really excited about continuing the work/study path. She chose Stanmore College because we were the only one offering T Levels in a location that suited her. She says,
"If you're thinking about T Levels, don’t stress too much, the course is great!"
Georgina – T Level Early Years
In Georgina’s opinion T Levels offers deeper content and a wider experience of taking exams. There are 5 different types of exams within the course, she firmly believes experience the exam range will help her to be more experienced for University. She is aiming to go to University for her Level 6 qualification. "My vision is to be a room leader, and climb up the ladder, and one day open my own nursery". Georgina has a scholarship waiting for her and she was excited about her vision for the future. She chose Stanmore because it was the only College offering T levels in Early Years.
Naeem – T Level Business
The advantage for doing the course for Naeem was the work experience. He worked in a recruitment firm as well as a secondary school, giving him a range of work experience in different sectors. He also chose Stanmore as it was the only college offering T levels in the location he wanted.
"It has really helped me to understand how the world of work is".
Aminah – T Level Early Years
Aminah really enjoyed the course and the work experience. She is going to University to study Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status. She chose Stanmore for the location and courses options.
‘It has definitely made me more confident.’
Sharanja – T Level Early Years
Sharanja says you have to believe in yourself, and she is definitely taking her motto with her to University with her. Her next step is to study for Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status. She said knew she wanted to study Early Years. She started with A Levels and then decided to take a more direct and hands-on approach, so she switched T levels.
"You have to believe in yourself."
T Levels are relevantly new, but they are also growing and a better pathway for the students who want the benefit of work experience early on in their education path. They are also equivalent to 3 A levels. More information is available in this article: "Why T Levels?".
