Course Content 

This level 3 Football Coaching pathway is a two-year course which will give you the opportunity to develop a range of skills that will help you in and outside of the classroom within the Football industry. 

You will also have the opportunity to complete SLQ Level 3 Qualification in Sports Leadership where you will gain the skills and develop as a coach. You will have the opportunity to coach in different environments.

Course Outcomes 

This program has been designed to provide applicants with an enhanced opportunity to pursue a career in the football industry, by incorporating specialised activities that are both practical and academic. Participants will have access to industry professionals, guest speakers, and strong connections with some of the county’s most prestigious Higher Education institutions. Speakers with professional football experience, along with university representatives, will give you a glimpse of what life is like beyond college.

We have established clear pathways into the football industry for both players and coaches. Additionally, a significant percentage of our learners progress to university, both in the UK and abroad. Our progression rates for learners advancing to Higher Education are 20% higher than the average for London-based colleges. We are also connected to US football scholarship programs, National Governing Bodies (NGBs), and industry-specific work experience opportunities.

Progression

You can progress to a University Degree in sports coaching, health, or science.

There are also employment opportunities available through our extensive network of established connections.

Entry Requirements

4 GCSES at a grade 4 or C and above, preferably including GCSE English and Maths but it is possible to have one GCSE still to study, preferably Maths. 

Alternatively, Level 2 in Sports Studies can be your access year, this will give you the option of a range of Level 3 courses we can offer. 

Individual learners who may be exceptions through interview will be reviewed for their suitability for the course. 

Assessment 

You will be assessed through a range of engaging assessment methods including coursework, practical assessments and presentations. 

A range of assessment methods which are internally assessed. This includes: 

  • Written assignments 
  • Practical activities 
  • Individual and group presentations 
  • Synoptic assessment
