Teachers at Stanmore are specialists in 16-18 education - they use their extensive vocational expertise well to give you a great learning experience. It is not all work, work, work at Stanmore! There is something for everyone to get involved in from our Film Club, Online games, Coding Club, Anime Club, Self improvement tips to participating in sports such as table tennis, badminton, basketball and many more. We also offer external enrichment such as kayaking, and snow-boarding. Advice and support for students with learning difficulties/disabilities. We have more vocational study programmes available than sixth forms are able to offer. Many of our programmes include work experience and are available in a range of sectors (see page 24 for more information). Over 86% of our students have gained higher education places, with many going to Russell Group universities. Other students progress onto an apprenticeship or into employment. You are treated as an adult at Stanmore where you can wear your own clothes, call teachers by their first names and don’t have to wake up early everyday! Our students comment on the adult environment which has a positive impact on their learning. The Student Parliament is an influential body made up of members of the student community. There is a strong focus on employability skills, volunteering projects and numerous educational trips and events are held every year. Students are provided with unrivalled support.
