The Level 2 Sport course offers a hands-on approach to developing practical and work-based skills in sport, fitness, and coaching. It provides the foundation you need to start or progress within the sports sector, helping you build essential skills and knowledge. Throughout the course, you’ll engage in various units that cover sports, fitness, coaching, and health, giving you a well-rounded understanding of the industry.
Additionally, you’ll have the chance to enhance your coaching skills and deepen your knowledge of health through the Level 2 NCFE in Coaching and Improving Health. Combining both qualifications will give you a strong foundation of practical experience and theoretical knowledge, setting you up for success in the sports industry.
The course includes a blend of topics such as sports coaching, developing sporting skills and tactical awareness, an introduction to health and nutrition, planning and delivering activity sessions, anatomy and physiology for exercise, and the lifestyle of a sports performer. You will also achieve the NCFE Level 2 Diploma in Sport and the SLQ Level 2 in Sports Leadership.
By completing this course, you’ll gain valuable skills and qualifications that will help you grow into a career-ready professional. It also provides opportunities to immerse yourself in the world of sport, develop as an individual, and gain transferable skills that are valuable in both the workplace and further study.

Entry Requirements
Two GCSE qualifications at grades A*-D or 9-3, including English Language, or a Level 1 vocational qualification and a Level 1 English qualification. -
Assessment
