Course Content

The qualification is designed for a learner who is looking to gain further knowledge into IT User Skills in order to progress to further training / learning. It is ideal for learners with understanding in the use of IT and provides a learner with the skills and knowledge needed to continue to the next level of IT User Training

ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) is the internationally recognised qualification which enables people to demonstrate their competence in a wide range of computer skills.

This qualification is a combination of the modules listed below:

  • Word processing
  • Presentation software
  • Spreadsheets

Venue: Remote Delivery/ online using MS Teams, however you will be required to attend college for minimum of 3 sessions for preparation for assessment and for final exam

Course duration; 20 weeks – 3 hours per session Dates & Times: 2 days a week, 5.5 hours Cost: Free – Subject to eligibility

  • Develop further or more advanced skills by completing another qualification within the suite which is either larger or at a higher level.

Entry Requirements

This will be most suitable for someone with a level 1 qualification or basic understanding of how to use a computer keyboard and mouse seeking to improve their knowledge and skills of the software applications mentioned above.


There will be assessment at the end of each module and final exam


Access to a computer and Office 365, as delivered via MS Teams
