The Creative Media Level 2 course introduces you to a range of media-based skills, including filming, editing, sound design, graphic design, scriptwriting, and photography. You’ll work with a variety of equipment, such as HD cameras, sound recording gear, DSLR cameras, and iMacs, while mastering Adobe software like Photoshop, Premiere, and Audition. You’ll also explore the work of media practitioners and learn about media codes, conventions, and techniques for analysing media products, producers, and audiences.
By the end of the course, you’ll achieve a Level 2 Diploma in Creative Media Production, equivalent to 4 GCSEs.
Why do this course?
This course provides you with a strong foundation to progress onto a Level 3 programme in Multimedia or Film and Television. You’ll have the opportunity to move on to university to study subjects such as Graphic Design, Games Design, Animation, Film, Journalism, Illustration, or Photography.

Entry Requirements
4 GCSEs at grade D or above, including Engish. Passion for the course area is a must and a portfolio is desirable but not essential. -
Assessment
Assessment is primarily coursework, which is internally assessed and externally moderated. Some elements are externally assessed.
