Functional Skills Maths Level 1 is a great course for you to develop your Maths skills and gain and recognised qualification. This course and the skills within are essential for work, college, higher education and day-to-day life. Our Functional Skills Maths course will help you improve your skills and prepare you to pass your tests.

The course covers GCSE topics, so you are prepared for this if you wish to do this in the future.

School Leavers: Students who did not achieve a passing grade in GCSE Maths and need an alternative qualification to progress in their education or career. Apprentices and Trainees: Learners enrolled in apprenticeship programs where maths skills are essential for their vocational training and future employment. Job Seekers: Individuals seeking to enhance their employability by gaining a qualification that demonstrates their competence in maths. Those looking to meet the entry requirements for certain job roles or further training programs. Employees: Workers aiming to improve their maths skills for better job performance and career progression. Those required by their employers to achieve a certain level of maths proficiency Parents and Caregivers: Individuals who want to support their children’s education by improving their own maths skills. There is a course for everyone!

Course content Using Numbers and the Number System: Whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Positive and negative numbers. Simple interest calculations. Ratios and proportions. Common Measures, Shape, and Space: Units of measurement (length, weight, capacity, time, temperature). Perimeter, area, and volume calculations. Properties of 2D and 3D shapes. Understanding and using scales and maps. Handling Information and Data: Collecting and recording data. Representing data using charts, tables, and graphs. Interpreting data to make decisions. Basic probability concepts These levels build on the foundational skills from Entry Levels, preparing learners for practical applications in everyday life, further education, and employment.
