The Early Years Workforce Diploma Level 3 is a comprehensive course designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to work as an early years educator. You will explore a range of topics, including child development, safeguarding, health and safety, and promoting positive behaviour. This qualification focuses on developing your understanding of how to support children’s learning and development in a variety of early years settings. Throughout the course, you will gain practical experience working with children and will learn how to plan and deliver activities that meet the needs of all children, including those with additional needs. You will also learn how to assess children’s progress and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues. This diploma will prepare you for a range of roles in early years education, such as nursery worker, teaching assistant, or early years practitioner.
By the end of the course, you will have the qualifications required to work with children in settings such as nurseries, schools, and children’s centers, with the option to progress further into higher-level qualifications or employment.

Entry Requirements
You should have Level 2 English or an equivalent qualification. Level 2 Early Years qualification. You will need to work or volunteer in a classroom for at least 12 hours a week, with prior experience of working with young children. A letter from your school confirming your role as a Teaching Assistant is also required. (Exceptions to entry requirements onto our level 3 qualifications may be considered) -
Assessment
You will be assessed through assignments and work-based practice, including observations in the classroom. Complete a minimum of 350 placement hours is required, covering all age ranges from 0-5 years. Completion of professional development records.
