Course Content
BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Sport. NVQ Level 3 Personal Trainer. Alongside this qualification students will also study level 2 in fitness instructing during their first year and the level 3 personal training during the second year.
In addition to classroom based tuition work experience is extremely important as it will give you a taste of sports related industries. It will enhance your application and improve your prospects at interview. What you have learned from the experience can make you stand out from the crowd. The competition to get into these industries is increasing year on year so you need to make sure that you have relevant, concrete experience that you can talk about on your personal statement and at interview.
Course Outcomes
Most young people studying a level 3 vocational programme do so to enable them to get into university. Students with BTEC qualifications are very successful in accessing a variety of HE courses in a wide range of areas. Case studies are available which show how vocational students go on to achieve good degrees and build successful careers. The Sport study programme has been designed to give applicants an even better chance of getting into the career of their choice through the addition of specific activities. These will be augmented with HE talks, visits and workshops at the end of the first year of study.
