Engineering at Stanmore College

Engineering contributes to modern society in many ways, in addition to every type of industry, engineering is essential for the production of medicine, chemicals, food and music among others.

Stanmore students study a mixture of electrical, electronic and mechanical engineering along with mathematics and communication skills and have gone on to study many types of engineering at university and to undertake apprenticeships with major UK employers such as BT and TFL.

 


Many young people studying on our Engineering study programme progress to University to study Aeronautical, Electrical & Electronic or Mechanical Engineering.

Engineering Students Achievements

Our students were finalists in the Raspberry Pi Competition. Dev Dhingra, Inayat Rahman Amin and Shamal Punja came third place in the competition.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is widely commended for inspiring the next generation of innovators in engineering and computer science; it gained popularity due to its usage in robotics and, every year, the Foundation holds a UK wide Raspberry Pi Competition inviting students to put their programming and development skills to the test.
