An AAT Accounting qualification is an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification based on practical, real-life knowledge that can be put to use from day one.

AAT is a professional membership body, which awards skills-based accountancy and finance qualifications. AAT work across the globe with around 125,000 members in more than 90 countries. Its members are represented at every levels of the finance and accounting world, including students, people already working in accountancy and self-employed business owners.
The qualification will be taught over 45 week period.
During term time, there will be approximately 6 hours of study per week, including evening that allows you to balance study with full/part-time employment. The course structure offers a combination of lectures, seminars, tutorial and independent study, delivered face-to-face and complimented with on-line learning.
Days and times of all of the sessions will be available well in advance when you enrol for the course.
The course is designed to be practical as possible, and is taught predominately through examining real-life scenarios and case studies, drawing on student's own experiences.

The AAT Foundation Diploma in Accounting and Business also develops additional business skills that have particular relevance to those working in accountancy, finance and general business roles. Students are introduced to the payroll function and learn how to calculate basic pay. Students are also introduced to elements of commercial law that might have an impact on them when working in accountancy, such as contract law, employment law and company law. In addition, student will further develop their business communication and personal skills and will learn how to manage their personal and professional development through lifelong learning.
Recommended follow up courses: Once you've achieved this level, you'll be the proud owner of the AAT Accounting Qualification. With evidence of one year's past relevant work experience - attained while you were training maybe - you'll be able to apply to become a full member of AAT and use the letters MAAT after your name.
Employment opportunities: Completion of Level 4 can assist someone with internal progression if they currently work in accountancy or other financial services firms, as well as enabling you to enter employment as a Level 4 qualified AAT Technician.
