AAT Accounting qualification is an internationally recognised professional accounting qualification based on practical, real-life knowledge that can be put to use from day one.

AAT is a professional membership body, which awards skills-based accountancy and finance qualifications. AAT work across the globe with around 125,000 members in more than 90 countries. Its members are represented at every level of the finance and accounting world, including students, people already working in accountancy and self-employed business owners.

Training Method: The course will be taught over a 36 week period. During term time, there will be approximately 6 hours of study per week, including evening that allows you to balance study with full/part-time employment.
The course structure offers a combination of lectures, seminars, tutorial and independent study, delivered face-to-face and complimented with on-line learning. Days and times of all of the sessions will be available well in advance when you enrol for the course. The course is designed to be practical as possible, and is taught predominately through examining the real-life scenarios and case studies, drawing on student's own experiences.
Students will develop skills including mastery of complex financial processes, such as final accounts, reports and returns, spreadsheet use for accountants, VAT returns and professional ethics.
Who the course is aimed at:- This qualification is a progression route for students who have achieved either the AAT Foundation Certificate in Accounting or the AAT Foundation in Accounting and Business or alternative acceptable qualification. It is also suitable for those who are at a more intermediate level and looking to develop their skills in accounting, or for those who have already started working in finance and who have a need and desire to attain formal recognition of their skills.
This qualification is suitable for young people and for adults in employment or unemployed or returning to work after a break or for anyone wishing to change career or pursue further study. However, for the best chance of success, we recommend that students begin their studies with a good standard of English and maths.
This Level 3 qualification provides opportunities to progress to the Level 4 AAT qualification.
Employment opportunities: Completion of Level 3 can assist someone with internal progression if they currently work in accountancy or other financial services firms, as well as enabling you to enter employment as a Level 3 qualified AAT Technician.

You will need to have passed AAT Level 2. Working within the accounting field is desirable but not necessary.
You will be assessed through formal online tests which are set by AAT at the centre.
You will need to have a valid AAT registration for the duration of the course.
