Access Courses at Stanmore College

Access to Higher Education (HE) Courses

19+ loans -- Don't let tuition fees stand in your way

Apply for a 19+ loan at www.gov.uk/advanced-learner-loan.

Terms and Conditions: If eligible, you will not have to make any repayments until your income is over £25,000 a year. In addition, if you progress from an Access to Higher Education Diploma course to complete a Higher Education Degree you could have your outstanding Advanced Learner Loan written off so you do not need to repay it. You could apply for this government loan if you are aged 19 or over and studying a full level 3 or above course.

What is Access to HE?

The Access to Higher Education Diploma is a qualification which prepares people without traditional qualifications for study at university. If you would like to go to university but left school without the qualifications you need, then an Access to HE course could be for you.

Most Access to HE courses are delivered in further education colleges in England and Wale and are available in a range of different subjects such as nursing, computing, engineering, teacher training, pharmacy and science. There is no upper-age limit for Access to HE courses, and many don't have any formal entry requirements apart from English and maths.

To find out more about our access to higher education courses, select one of the respective subjects or, if you would rather speak to a member of staff, call us now on 020 8420 7700.
