Choosing an apprenticeship route 25/02/2019
Want to work while you study? An apprenticeship is a way to gain the skills, knowledge and experience you need to get into many careers and earn a salary while you are doing it. They combine work, training, and study, so you can 'earn while you learn'.
There are a choice of many different apprenticeships available across a wide range of industries, and for a wide variety of job roles. At Stanmore College we offer apprenticeships in all of the following areas:
• Accounting • Health and Care • Digital Marketing • Customer Service • Teaching and Learning PE in schools • Childcare • Team Leading • Business Administration • IT Infrastructure • Healthcare Assistant Practitioner • Sport • Children and Young People’s Workforce • Adult Care Work
As a paid employee, each apprentice works alongside their studies. There are no student fees – your training costs are funded by the government and your employer. It’s an ideal option if you have a clear idea of the career path you want to follow, providing you with practical, on-the-job training, and classroom-based instruction. How to apply and which apprenticeships are available to you will depend on where you live – if you are interested in one of the above apprenticeships check out the apprenticeships section on our website and Apply Online.
National Apprenticeship Week 2019 runs from 4 to 8 March.
